There was a recent interview with Dice the bf2 developer by totalgamingnetwork.com aka totalbattlefield.com
The following are excerpts of the interview with info pertaining to patch 1.5 for BF2. The new patch will try to fix the J10's, security and hacking, it will have Highway tampa included in the patch so that every server will have it by default instead of individual players needing to downloaded it separately, and include a brand new map.
Q: We’ve seen many people criticizing air balance in BF2, even since version 1.0. Does DICE have any plan to adjust the balance or hitboxes on any of the air vehicles in BF2 with the latest patch?
A: We’ve seen the comments, forum posts and Youtube videos about the F35 vs J10. The main thing to remember is that the hitbox represents the size of the aircraft and the F35 is a lot bigger than the J10. Reducing the hitbox size of the F35 might look like it addresses the imbalance but will also cause other problems as it will look like missiles and bullets are passing through the F35 if the hitbox is smaller than the model.
However what we have done is taken a look at the handling of the J10 and made a few tweaks with the turning ability of the J10 which should bring the two planes into a more balanced state. We want as many people as possible in the open beta of 1.50 to try this out and let us know what they think.
Q: What will the BF2 1.5 patch do to prevent cheating?
A: We released some information about the changes we have taken to prevent cheating on Battlefield.com. We have included a new account verification process to make sure the player is who they say they are. Server security and stability changes have been made as well as closing off other cheats based around the Commander assets. We don’t want to give away too much with what we have done to prevent cheating as we don’t want to give the upper hand back to the cheats.
Q: Will 2009 be a good year for the Battlefield fans?
A: Definitely. Its going to be an awesome year.

I have created a simple Bf2 Muster, It is located at the bottom of the site. The muster displays your online status, rank, name, and country. However at this time it does not show what server you are currently playing in. You will need to click on the CAF members in the muster to find out where they are playing. When clicking on a CAF member in the muster, it will take you to battletracker.com directing you to a stats page. You just scroll down a bit to where it says Current Session Info and that will give you the information on where that CAF member is playing.
So far it has been difficult to find options to allow this on our home page. I will work to find a way to get server info into the muster but for now the current muster should help. Don't be shy, go check it out

The Donate Module is finally working. It is now possible to donate to the server to keep it up and running.
I have made a test donation of $2 to see if all the necessary data shows up in the donation block on the right, and it does!
This is great. Now we can see a break down of what is needed in the month, the date of donation and how much was donated.
Please take the time to donate, even as little as $5. Lets keep our server alive so that there is nothing but good times ahead.

Bazajaytee of DICE has posted up some new information over on the EA forums regarding the new v1.5 patch for BF2. Take a look:
"Yep there will be a public Beta before final so you can see what we have been working on. Some things you'll see/experience and other things you won't as its behind the scenes to secure Battlefield 2 accounts and playing experiences.
The beta would be for everyone that wants to install it, the more people that do the better feedback we get...
...The plan is to get it out before Christmas yes."

In the coming days and week I will be working on enhancing the site, adding things like; new header(image on top), about us page, extra content pages, flash files and effects, enhancing the visual design of the forums and much more. Sorry for the quick switch on everybody. But it was agreed by the admins to be the best opportunity and time to do so. You will however need to register again and make a new account as I needed to make a new database for this new infrastructure. With that said there's lots to be excited about as we move forward.
cheers,
